Eastern Creek Raceway (Sydney Dragway)

Directions

Sydney Dragway is located centrally in the Sydney Metropolitan area, just 32 kilometres west of the CBD, 12 kilometres west of the Parramatta CBD, 18 kilometres east of Penrith, 13 kilometres north-west of Liverpool, and 6 kilometres south-west of Blacktown, placing it at the heart of Sydney's population and closer to major population centres than any other track in the country. Within a 30 kilometre radius live 1.6 million people.

COMING FROM THE NORTH & WEST

Those traveling from the north and west should turn off the Great Western Highway onto Jack Brabham Drive, following this onto Ferrers Road around the northern and western boundaries of Eastern Creek Raceway (ECR). Immediately after passing the south western corner of ECR the drag strip will be visible in front of you. The first entrance is for Competitors. Spectators are to proceed 500 metres further along Ferrers Rd until they come to the Spectator entrance. Those coming from the west on the M4 Motorway should turn off at the Wallgrove Road exit, adjacent to the Australia’s Wonderland theme park. Turn left at the top of the ramp, proceed north to the Great Western Highway and turn right (east), and proceed 2 kilometres to Jack Brabham Drive, where you turn right.

COMING FROM THE SOUTH

Those approaching from the south should turn off The Horsley Drive onto Ferrers Road and follow the road north through a roundabout, and past the brickworks on the left. As the road crosses the water pipeline the drag strip will be visible in front of you. The Spectator entrance is on your right hand side.

COMING FROM THE EAST

Those approaching from the east should turn off the M4 Motorway at the Eastern Creek Raceway turn-off at Reservoir Road, turn right at the bottom, proceed north to the Great Western Highway and turn left (west), and proceed 2 km to Jack Brabham Drive, where you turn left. Following Jack Brabham Drive onto Ferrers Road around the northern and western boundaries of Eastern Creek Raceway (ECR). Immediately after passing the south western corner of ECR the drag strip will be visible in front of you. The first entrance is for Competitors. Spectators are to proceed 500 metres further along Ferrers Rd until they come to the Spectator entrance.

Driver Training Entrance / Meeting Point

Enter from Ferrers Road - and when you get to the main gate (straight ahead) follow the road thru Gate 7 and then Gate 14.

It will snake around and if you stay on the road you will end up at a multi story cream buidling - which is race headquarters (and our training room). It is located on the start line of the drag strip and you can park in the staging lanes (big car park next to the building). See the pics below for a picture of the building.

Courses start at 9am unless otherwise instructed. Please plan to arrive by 8.45am

What to bring / wear / know

Bring your car - make sure you check tyre pressures (34PSi Small/Medium Cars - 36PSi Large cars - 40PSi 4WD Vehicles). Remove all loose items and make sure you have enough fuel. 2 drivers can share one car on the day if required.

Bring some lunch - most venues have a fridge. You can also buy lunch but this will require you leaving the training facility and will take up most of your lunch break (usually 30mins).

Bring some water - it gets hot outside! So bring some water and stay hydrated.

Wear suitable clothing - activities are done outside and there is little/no shelter. So dress accordingly for the weather and be prepared for good/bad weather changes.

Bring your drivers licence - Make sure you bring this with you!

You will be requiured to complete some paperwork during the day - so bring a pen, notepad and or anything else that might make your day a bit easier.

Don't forget to have fun !!

 Enter via this gate
